We're looking for a commercially minded Cost Accountant, based at our Head Office in Gepps Cross. You’ll play a key role in supporting operational performance through accurate costing, insightful analysis, and meaningful business partnering.

Whether you're an established Cost Accountant or a commercially focused Management Accountant looking to specialise in manufacturing and costing, this is an outstanding opportunity to build your career.

Responsibilities

Working closely with Operations, Production, Supply Chain and Finance teams, you'll help ensure our manufacturing costs, inventory valuations and financial reporting remain accurate, insightful and commercially valuable.

• Maintaining and updating standard product costs across materials, labour and overheads
• Managing month end costing processes and validation activities
• Analysing manufacturing and inventory variances and providing actionable recommedations
• Monitoring product costs and identifying opportunities for improved profitability and efficiency
• Supporting inventory valuation accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Producing timely and accurate cost and variance reporting
• Identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy

About you

You're analytical, commercially curious and enjoy getting beyond the numbers to understand what drives business performance.

To be successful, you'll bring:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce 
• 3+ years of commercial accounting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Advanced Excel skills
• The confidence to engage with a varied stakeholder group
• Experience within a manufacturing environment (highly regarded)
• Experience with Oracle ERP systems advantageous
