THE OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Retail Sales & Design Consultant to join our Hervey Bay team.

This is more than a retail sales role. You'll work closely with homeowners, renovators, builders and trade customers, helping them select the right products and solutions for their projects. From initial enquiries through to product selection and order completion, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Working as part of a supportive and collaborative team, you'll build lasting customer relationships while developing your knowledge of Stratco's extensive product range.

WORKING HOURS 

Our standard store trading hours are:

Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm and Saturday: 9:00am - 2:00pm. 
This role operates on a 10-day fortnight roster, with team members working one Saturday each fortnight and receiving a rostered day off (RDO) in return.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Assisting customers with product enquiries and project solutions 
• Building strong customer relationships in-store, over the phone and via email 
• Preparing quotes and processing customer orders 
• Providing product advice and design guidance 
• Learning and maintaining knowledge of Stratco's products and systems 
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver outstanding customer service 
• Contributing to a positive, safe and customer-focused workplace

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don't need experience in our industry to be successful. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and providing exceptional customer service.

You'll bring: 

• Strong computer and administration skills
• Confidence communicating with a wide range of customers 
• A positive, professional and team-focused attitude 
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills 
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities 
• Availability to work one Saturday per fortnight

Highly regarded: 

• Experience in retail, customer service, sales support or design consultation 
• Exposure to building products, construction, home improvement or manufacturing industries
