Drive Performance. Influence Decisions. Make an Impact.

Are you an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys getting beyond the numbers and into the commercial engine room of a business? This is more than a traditional accounting role. It's an opportunity to partner with senior leaders, contribute to business improvement initiatives, and play a key role in shaping financial performance across a growing manufacturing operation.

We're looking for a commercially savvy finance professional who can turn financial data into meaningful business insights, support strategic decision-making, and help drive operational performance across our New Zealand operations. As part of the wider Stratco Group, Davin is focused on sustainable growth, operational excellence, and creating long-term value for our customers. It's a business where commercial thinking is valued, ideas are encouraged, and individuals have the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of core financial and management reporting activities while providing valuable commercial support to the leadership team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the month end processes and delivering accurate financial results within tight deadlines
  • Preparing management reports, budgets, forecasts and performance analysis
  • Providing meaningful insights and recommendations to improve profitability and business performance
  • Supporting inventory valuation, stock reporting and cost analysis activities
  • Supporting audits, taxation compliance and payroll related activities
  • Partnering with operational leaders to identify risks, opportunities and performance improvements

Who we're looking for

You'll bring a blend of strong technical accounting capability, commercial acumen and the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.

You'll have:

  • CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
  • A degree in accounting or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar commercial finance role
  • Strong expertise in month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business

A background in manufacturing, industrial operations or the building products industry will be highly regarded.

At Davin, you'll be joining a growing business that values initiative, continuous improvement and collaboration. You'll enjoy a role offering genuine business influence, exposure to strategic projects, a competitive remuneration package and the opportunity for ongoing professional growth.
