Contour Roofing is one of the Top of the South's leading roofing businesses, delivering residential, commercial, and supply-and-install roofing projects across Nelson and Marlborough.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Assistant Contracts Manager to join our Nelson-based Contracts Team.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you'll play a pivotal role coordinating projects from contract award through to completion. This position combines project coordination, residential re-roof scheduling, material procurement, subcontractor management, customer communication, and contract support to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, professionally, and on schedule.

Key responsibilites

• Coordinate residential re-roof schedules, materials and subcontractors
• Raise and manage purchase orders and material procurement
• Support contract administration, variations, progress claims and invoicing
• Maintain accurate project documentation and project records
• Coordinate supplier and subcontractor communications and payments
• Monitor project progress and follow up outstanding actions
• Provide exceptional service to customers and project stakeholders
• Support health, safety and compliance requirements

About you

You're an organised and detail-focused professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Experience in project coordination, construction, contract administration, procurement or a related sector
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship building abilities
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Great Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
• Whilst not essential, experience within construction or building related industries would be advantageous
