Our Berrimah manufacturing facility is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic metal processing operator to join our team. The role of the Manufacturing Team Member, also known as a Folder Operator, is to manufacture and assemble products for our trade and customer base. This is a full-time opportunity working day shift (7:30am to 3:36pm) with overtime available. Responsibilities: - Operating metal folding and pressing machines
- Interpret product drawings
- Manufacturing goods to the customers’ requirements
- Safely operating a forklift, loading and uploading goods/products
- General housekeeping activities
- Contribute during toolbox and team meetings
- Participate in relevant training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
- Adherence to Stratco safety and other policies and procedures
Skills and attributes: - A commitment to producing quality products
- Experience in setting up and operating manufacturing machinery
- Experience using sheetmetal manufacturing equipment, particularly folders would be preferred, but not essential
- Forklift & Medium Rigid Licence is required
- Effective problem solver who can develop solutions that meet the customers’ needs
- Good communicator, both written and verbal
- Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
- Able to work at pace within a team or at times individually
