Our Berrimah manufacturing facility is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic metal processing operator to join our team. The role of the Manufacturing Team Member, also known as a Folder Operator, is to manufacture and assemble products for our trade and customer base. 

This is a full-time opportunity working day shift (7:30am to 3:36pm) with overtime available. In return, we are offering the opportunity to develop a long-term career with a renowned leader, a competitive remuneration package, along with a great place to work. 

Responsibilities:

• Operating metal folding and pressing machines
• Interpret product drawings 
• Manufacturing goods to the customers’ requirements
• Safely operating a forklift, loading and uploading goods/products  
• General housekeeping activities
• Contribute during toolbox and team meetings 
• Participate in relevant training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
• Adherence to Stratco safety and other policies and procedures

Skills and attributes:  

• A commitment to producing quality products 
• Experience in setting up and operating manufacturing machinery 
• Experience using sheetmetal manufacturing equipment, particularly folders would be preferred, but not essential
• Forklift & Medium Rigid Licence is required 
• Effective problem solver who can develop solutions that meet the customers’ needs
• Good communicator, both written and verbal
• Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
• Able to work at pace within a team or at times individually
