An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated retail professional to join our Epping store as Assistant Store Manager. This is a full-time rostered position, including Saturday shifts. The right candidate will be competitively remunerated (based on relevant skills and experience).

You will be a key member of the team, and will often be the key point of contact with our customers for various needs and solutions. You will need to have a thorough understanding of the products and services provided by Stratco and be willing to participate in regular training relating to Stratco’s products and systems. You will also be expected to lead by example, help grow sales and improve the skills of the retail store team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working in our Home Improvement Store, providing excellent customer service and selling goods
• Assisting with general store management activities
• Store merchandising and stock control
• Assisting with the development of rosters and training programmes
• Face to face and telephone customer service and sales
• Guiding customers through the design process
• Assisting customers to find innovative design solutions utilising CAD software
• Prepare accurate and timely project quotations
• Maintaining store stock levels and general housekeeping to ensure our store is always presentable
• Participation in training and personal development sessions
• Adherence to Stratco safety and other policies, ensuring a safe working environment

• Exceptional sales and customer service skills
• Proven ability to provide solutions and drive sales
• Retail management experience within a similar environment
• Capability to guide, support and develop team members to grow their skills and achieve goals
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm and energy
• A commitment to excellence and self-development
• Previous design consulting or building experience highly desirable, but not necessary (CAD skills an advantage)
