THE OPPORTUNITY Want to develop your career with a clear pathway into future leadership? Then look no further, our Alice Springs branch is looking for a motivated and trustworthy individual to join our small yet high-achieving team. With a structured mentoring program aimed at exposing you to all aspects of the business, you will undergo hands-on training within the despatch, customer service, and sales departments to truly understand the operational aspects of the branch. Additionally, you will work closely with our management team to gain insight into the day-to-day running of the branch with the plan to take on management duties within the next 3-5 years. This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday - Friday with some reasonable additional hours depending on business requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES - Customer service: Assist our valued customers in selecting products and provide advice on product-related projects.
- Despatch: Assist the team with stock control and liaise with customers to ensure products are ready for pick up or transport in a timely manner. NOTE: Forklift license can be provided for additional duties within the despatch team.
- Sales: Develop and maintain relationships with our trade and retail customers both locally and regionally, ensuring that their orders are processed efficiently and effectively.
- Health & safety: Adhere to our critical safety rules & contribute to a safe working environment
- Teamwork: Collaborate with department team members and managers to ensure branch targets are being met.
ABOUT YOU - Car License (essential)
- A reliable and can-do attitude with a want to learn
- A clear and confident communicator with a passion for excellent customer service
- A careful approach with clear attention to detail
- Numeral literacy
- The ability to work in a team environment and independently (with regional travel at times)
- Physically fit with the ability to, at times, lift up to 20kg repetitively in an outdoors environment
- Maturity with the desire to lead people in the future
