West Coast Sheet Metal is part of the Stratco group, a dynamic, national leader in the manufacture and marketing of building and home improvement products. With an outstanding record of continual growth, Stratco has manufacturing plants and Home Improvement Stores throughout Australia and several international locations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC laser cutting machines and other machinery/processes 
• Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Assemble items as instructed by shift leader or floor supervisor.
• Prepare product for shipment.

Skills and attributes:  

• Experience in machine operation (Laser cutting preferred but not essential)
• Ability to load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of equipment
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A great team player
