Continued business growth has created an opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic Welder / Metal Fabricator to join the operations team on our Prometal Site. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate welding equipment, hand tools and machinery safely
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on a range of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) to achieve code standards for weld testing.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members, other departments and projects
• Maintain a clean and organised work area 
• Strict adherence to our critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment

ABOUT YOU

• Safe operating focus with knowledge of welding safety procedures and standards
• Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding across all above materials.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Relevant trade qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of other sheetmetal operations (Brake Press, spot welding, etc) well regarded
• Great team player
