Stratco's Gepps Cross manufacturing facility is seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Despatch Scheduler. A go getter with a can-do attitude and the ability to think outside the square! This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused person to become an integral part of our growing Despatch Team. You will liaise with external truck drivers, site controllers and sales managers as well as planning and delivery stakeholders, so you will need excellent scheduling, time management and organisational skills. This is a permanent, full-time position, working on day shift from 8.00am to 4.00pm. Responsibilities - Ensure the timely despatch of products to meet customer delivery dates to support the achievement of the 'On Time' component of DIFOT
- Coordinate and schedule daily delivery runs
- Work as part of a tight knit logistics team to ensure customer demands are met
- Assist with customer service duties as required
- General housekeeping and providing support to the wider Operations Team as required
- Adherence to Stratco safety and other policies and procedures
Skills and attributes - Extensive work experience in a despatch/logistics department, preferably gained within a production environment with manufactured goods
- Have a solid understanding of material loading maximum weight requirements and safe delivery practices
- Demonstrated experience leading a small team or people management
- Effective problem solver who can develop solutions that meet the customers’ needs and drive DIFOT outcomes
- Adaptable and proactive with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- An engaging communicator to develop trusting stakeholder relations
- Possess a genuine desire to further develop and grow with the business
- Forklift Licence and Driver’s Licence are essential
