Do you have experience in logistics or an interest in the building industry? Do you enjoy interacting with customers? This hybrid position could be perfect for you! We currently have an opportunity available at our Home Improvement Store in Busselton. This position involves working in the yard and being responsible for stock control, while also working as part of our retail team and assisting customers. You will liaise with our retail and trade customer base, servicing a wide range of our products to ensure that our customers get exactly what they need! This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday. The store is open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm. Duties include: - Picking, packing and scanning stock ready for pick-up.
- Load customer vehicles via forklift according to the safety guidelines.
- Move stock and finished goods around the yard and surrounding environment safely.
- Maintain stock records and stock movements via scanners.
- Print out vehicle load sheets, plan the load and placement onto delivery trucks.
- Unload supplier vehicles and receive stock.
- Greet and serve customers, ensuring that orders are ready for collection.
- Liaise with other internal and external stakeholders to efficiently and effectively resolve any concerns raised by the customer.
- Work as part of the Retail Team with in-store duties as required – customer service, stock shelves, maintain displays and assist with general store maintenance.
- General housekeeping duties to ensure a tidy work environment.
- Strict adherence to critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment.
Skills and attributes: - Current Forklift Licence is essential.
- Forklift experience including loading, unloading and manoeuvring in various environments while following strict safety protocols.
- Previous experience within retail/customer service highly desirable.
- Highly organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Customer-centric approach, with a willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy and pace.
- Commitment to operating the forklift safety, taking care of our customers, staff and products.
