THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Continued business growth has created an opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic Mig Welder / Fabricator to join the operations team based to manufacture and assemble products for our trade and retail customer base.

 

This is a casual, full-time opportunity working 8-hour Day Shift (6:00am - 2:00pm) with overtime optional.

 

Location: Darwin

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manufacture goods to the customers’ requirements
  • Tasks include interpret technical product drawings, MIG welding using mild steel and silicone bronze.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications 
  • Operate plant and mobile equipment, including overhead cranes.
  • Collaborate with team members, other departments and projects
  • Participate in training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area 
  • Strict adherence to our critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment

ABOUT YOU

  • Essential - Welding experience of mild steel, galvanized products in both light and heavy gauges
  • Essential - At least 2 years relevant experience working in a production environment
  • Desirable – AQF Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication) 
  • Commitment to producing quality products
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Sound awareness of safety standards and alertness of moving parts and people
  • Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
