We are seeking an experienced CNC Laser Operator to join us in a full-time opportunity within our Forrestdale laser operations cutting team. This position works Monday to Friday, with overtime when required. 

Responsibilities:

• Operate the CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery to meet job specifications and production targets. 
• Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
• Monitor operations, troubleshoot issues and keep everything running smoothly.
• Conduct routine maintenance and keep your machine operating effectively. 
• Inspect final products to ensure top-notch quality.
• Prepare products for shipment, manually or using hoist.
• Load and unload materials with care and precision using forklifts.
• Collaborate with your team to drive production excellence.
• Keep accurate production records and maintain a tidy, safe workspace.
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards.

Skills and attributes:  

• Previous experience operating laser machinery. 
• A valid Forklift Licence is essential. 
• Ability to load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of equipment. 
• Strong grasp of metal fabrication techniques and machine maintenance.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your craftsmanship.
• The ability to read technical drawings and specifications with confidence.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
• Excellent communication and time management skills. 
• Reliable and willing to do overtime when required
• Be physically fit to meet the manual labour requirements of the role.
